This all makes the car very agile, fast, and when up to correct operating temperature, stable and predictable.įounded in 1994, the Ind圜ar Series traces it’s roots back to the Indianapolis 500 and American Championship car racing (known as CART). The chassis and body panels are all produced from carbon fibre, making the car both very strong, rigid and light. The car is pretty much state of the art, featuring an advanced 2.2L twin-turbo engine, Xtrac sequential 6-speed gearbox, triple-plate carbon clutch, and carbon brakes to deliver extreme performance in every aspect. In peak trim, the car is capable of some 750hp, and only weighing in at only 700-715kg (about half that of a typical road car), giving a power to weight ratio probably 6-10 times what most people are familiar with as their daily drive.
